THURSDAY, JUNE 24: This week, New York City residents and visitors alike will have an opportunity to sample Bermuda’s hospitable culture when the Bermuda Department of Tourism (BDOT), partners with for a special promotion.

The BDOT is currently joining Condé Nast’s, the go-to bridal destination site, as they host a three-day New York City event featuring a twist - a Love Truck.

In celebration, Mayor Michael Bloomberg has proclaimed this week - June 21-27, 2010 -’s Declare Your Love Week.

The public will be aware that Mayor Bloomberg also has a residence here in Bermuda.

The Love Truck will be positioned in three locations throughout the city from tomorrow, June 24-26, and invites dating, engaged and married couples to share their stories of falling in love.

Tomorrow, the Love Truck will be located in the Times Square area on 6th Avenue between 42nd and 41st streets, where it will display the island’s treasured assets.

Today BDOT director William Griffith said: "We’re excited to spread the love of Bermuda to the Big Apple and showcase the Island’s many attributes.

"We will continue to strategically partner with top-tier companies such as Condé Nast in order to reach large audiences in key markets including New York City and provide consumers with valuable destination information that will attract them to visit our wonderful country."

As part of the Love Truck promotion, BDOT representatives will provide Bermuda marketing collateral and have one-on-one conversations with prospective travellers on topics ranging from Bermuda’s signature pink sand beaches and burgeoning culinary scene to outdoor adventures, first-rate accommodations, destination culture and more.

This latest BDOT promotion comes hot on the heels of last week's successful Bermuda Night at Fenway Park in Boston.
