Bermuda’s Emerging Professionals (BEPRO) will be hosting a special networking event titled, ‘LinkedIn Link Up’, on November 21, 2013, at Bermuda Chamber of Commerce from 6 – 8pm.

This event will feature a special presentation on the purpose and benefits of LinkedIn conducted by Social Media Consultant, Stephanie Lee. Holding Certificates in Web Marketing and Advertising from University of Toronto; and having taught Social Media for Non Profits workshops with the Centre of Philanthropy, Social Media 101 and Social Media for Business with Community Education, Ms. Lee is more than qualified to shed some light on the growing social networking site.

LinkedIn, is a social networking site (like Facebook) geared solely toward working professionals of all occupations, at all stages of their career, and has quickly become a convenient way to connect with others across industries. The site is currently available in 20 languages and has over 200 million members in over 200 different countries and territories.

“One aspect of BEPRO’s vision is to provide its membership with opportunities to grow and best utilize their networks. This event is a perfect fit as participants will learn how LinkedIn can assist with their professional development.  Not only does the site allow individuals to connect with one another in a business-like forum, it also provides access to many useful articles and reports that can aid in expanding one’s knowledge base.” - BEPRO Representative

The event will also include a fun and interactive speed networking-like activity to help attendees connect easily. There will be a $5 entrance fee for non-members, while BEPRO members are free. Wine and beer will be served.
