TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29: Fitness enthusiasts are being encouraged to head into St George’s on Saturday for the first ever Fitness Saturday.

The Corporation of St. George’s Activity Committee and Evolutions Health & Fitness Centre Ltd are hosting the event.

Organiser Quinell Francis said: “We recognize the importance of our community’s wellbeing, and are encouraging all ages to come out and participate in this event.

“We are starting the first class at 9am with Zumba Fitness for all ages, three and older, then followed by adult kickboxing at 10am, kiddies kickboxing ages three to 16 at 11am, body sculpt at 12pm and the final class will be Reggae Soca Aerobics.”

She continued: “There is something for everyone, and there will be prizes throughout the morning to participants. “

Ms Francis said invited guests include Mayor Kenneth Bascome, the Alderman and Common Councilors of the Corporation of St. George’s and all the MPs in the parish of St. George’s, including Dame Jennifer Smith, Hon Kim Swan, Lovitta Foggo.

Schools, churches, and the whole community have also been invited.

“We encourage everyone to come to King’s Square, take a class, and enjoy St George’s as the Corporation of St. George’s will also be hosting the Annual Christmas Parade that evening.

The Bermuda Heart Foundation will also do a screening at the event.

The cost for one class is $10, $15 for two classes and $25 for all classes.

Children are $5 per class.
