MONDAY, AUGUST 29: The Bermuda Hotel Association, which represents 35 of the island’s hotels, has named Erin Smith as its new Manager of Marketing, Sales and Research.

Ms. Smith, who has worked in the Marketing and Advertising industry in both Bermuda and the US, will be in charge of marketing initiatives for the Hotel Association as well as serving as the Manager of Marketing, Sales and Research for the Bermuda Alliance for Tourism, a collaborative effort between the private sector and the Ministry of Tourism.

"The BHA is fortunate and delighted to have secured Erin as our Manager of Sales and Marketing particularly at a time when our member hotels and indeed Bermuda is facing fierce global competition in the Tourism business. She will help us to develop and achieve our various sales and marketing initiatives," said John Harvey, CEO of the Bermuda Hotel Association.

Before joining the Bermuda Hotel Association, Ms. Smith worked for AdVantage Ltd. and emedia Bermuda Ltd, two local advertising agencies. 

Prior to moving to Bermuda, Ms. Smith worked for TNS Global, the world's largest Custom Market Research Company.
