I was watching the TV program Shark Tank recently.

There was an inventor who had developed a door lock in which you could use your smartphone or tablet to unlock, thus getting rid of that bulky key ring.

That product, the Kevo, is now available. It retails in the US for $219.

You can send an electronic key to up to five family members or friends.

Have a repairman coming over to your house?

You can send them the key which will only allow them access to your house for a specific time frame.

It is currently only available for iPhones, some iPod Touches and higher generation iPads.
