Three men accused of being behind a spate of burglaries across the island have appeared in court.

Shannon Wilkinson faces eight charges of burglary and five charges of receiving stolen goods.

Tyrone Pedro is charged with six break-ins and seven counts of receiving stolen goods.

Mr. Wilkinson and Javon Caisey are accused of one charge of prowling relating to another attempted break-in.

The three defendants denied all the charges when they appeared at Magistrates' Court today.

The offences relate to a total of 13 burglaries in which thousands of dollars worth of televisions, lap-tops and computer equipment was stolen.

The break-ins took place between February and March of this year across the island.

Mr. Wilkinson, 21, Mr. Pedro, 19, and Mr. Caisey, 27, were all remanded in custody at the end of the hearing.

The three men, who all live in Southampton, will appear before the court again on March 31.
