With parties from Somerset to St. George's and everywhere in between, New Year's Eve is going to be huge in Bermuda.

Wherever you live, whatever your musical tastes, whether you want intimate and chilled or loud and thumping, there's something happening for you.

It's the night everyone looks forward to and as usual, it's tipped to be the biggest party night of the year.

But Monday, December 31 is just four days away, so have you decided where you're going yet? It's no good leaving it until the last-minute as tickets are selling quickly.

Berkeley Institute

If you want some glitz and glamour, 'Hollywood' is the New Year' Eve event to go to.

You will get to walk the red carpet, complete with paparazzi style photography, you'll be given a quick interview by Style Bermuda and a free commemorative photo.

On the mainstage from 9pm to 11pm, the line up includes Soulfully Acoustic, Jazel, Sia Spence, Jah (Two Fools), Bermuda Tri, Twanae Butterfield and Seabreeze Salsa. If that isn't enough, there will also be a buffet.

Then the countdown begins to carry you from the old year into the new with DJ's including Juggin J, Rodigun, D'General and from Barbados, The F.I. VJ's.

The party has been organized by Barmuvinjam and includes awards for the best dressed, judged by Show Off. A buffet dinner will also be served.

There will also be a champagne toast at midnight, party favours, sponsor giveaways, door prizes and lots more.

Devonshire Rec

If you have plenty of stamina, New Year's Eve Champagne Supernova kicks off at 10pm and doesn't end until 5am.

To keep you on the dancefloor, there will be old school roots, rock and reggae, as well as 2008 hip hop and dance floor mixes.

Triple Platinum, Black Lion and guests China and Bussy will be on the ground level, while DJ Styles, Imega Sound and guest Mikey B will be on the top level. There will also be performances by Loc Tight, Pavarotti go-go dancers and Afro sumari animations.

There will be an outdoor food court and five bars. Tickets include free Upper Crust hors d'oeuvres until midnight and a free champagne toast.

Dress is smart and security will be tight. Advance tickets are $50 from stores islandwide and $70 on the door,

Fresco's and Opus Lounge

Here's your chance to experience one big party at two venues with a NYE Social to remember.

At Fresco's restaurant, bar and terrace you can enjoy the sounds of Chubb Underground and at the newly-opened Opus Lounge you can enjoy house music and sexy funky grooves from DJ Dirkistan Freedom Fighters and early morning guest DJ Skilatchi.

Dress is Miami glam and it's being described as a "diverse party for the mature party crowd." The party is presented by Unite Promotions.

There will be a complimentary midnight champagne toast, early morning chocolate strawberry dessert and a complimentary shuttle between the two venues.

Tickets are $85 or $100 for a limited number of VIP tickets, which includes a red carpet pre-party. Get your tickets from Fresco's. Opus Lounge or The Edge.

Greg's Steakhouse

See in 2008 in style when the popular restaurant is turned into a split-level nightclub from 10pm to 3am. Whether you want to talk, dance all night or chill out with friends, this venue will have it all.

Upstairs in the G Spot Lounge there'll be a kicked back vibe with complimentary sushi and Angus steak nibbles and chilled-our R 'n' B sounds.

Meanwhile downstairs DJ's China and Bussy will be busting out the old school and party anthems with Mr. English bringing in 2008.

There will also be early dance-floor warm-ups by Lace and Bachata and salsa performances by Sabor Dance School.

The dress is intimate and sexy and ticket price includes a complimentary Veuve Clicquot and balloon raffle drop.

The party is presented by Unite Promotions. Advance tickets are $80 from Greg's Steakhouse and The Edge or $85 at the door. Limited tickets are available.

Par-La-Ville Car Park

See reggae artists Shaggy and Collie Buddz on stage when the town centre car park is transformed into a state-of-the-art concert venue.

From 8pm to 3am there will be a village of tents, offering both dance and chill out areas overlooking the stage with huge TV screens,

Collie will be backed by Homegrown, while Shaggy has the 15-piece Big Yard Band featuring Rik Rok and Rayvon.

Opening acts will include Homegrown, Roache Killer, CDaynger with sounds by Herbalist Supreme and Vybez Alliance.

Harper Digital Entertainment, 441 Productions and Morley Productions have organized the party.

Tickets are $125, which includes a welcome cocktail and free champagne at midnight. They are available at Music World, iStore and Gosling's retail stores.

King's Square, St. George's

Celebrate with mom, dad and gran too at the traditional old town festivities. It's always a popular way for families to ring in the new year and like usual, will include live performances, a fireworks display and the lowering of the onion.

Fairmont Hamilton Princess

Grab your kilt and celebrate Scottish style with the Caledonian Society of Bermuda. The Hogmanny Ball kicks of at 7pm with cocktails, then it's dinner at 8pm, followed by plenty of dancing. For information about tickets telephone Ian Hind at 534-9627.

9 Beaches

From 7.30pm to 1am, celebrate Mardi Gras style with dinner and music.

The hotel in Somerset is offering a full dinner and a Mardi Gras party with a live band. There will also be champagne at midnight and breakfast at 12.30am. The cost is $100. Special rates are also available for those wanting to stay the night. Call 232-6655 for more details.

Ariel Sands

Help others while partying away at the A Night With The Stars Fundraising Gala. The event is a strictly black tie affair and has been organized by the juniors of The Bermuda Equestrian's.

It kicks off at 8pm and continues until 2am with a cash bar. It's an event for the whole family with the cost of tickets depending on your age. For 12 years and under tickets are $50, $100 for 17 years and under and $120 for 18 years and over. A special room rate is also available of $175 plus tax, including breakfast.
