Bermuda’s four-man team finished seventh in the IAAF World Relay Championship in Nassau, Bahamas, on Saturday.

Shaquille Dill, Aaron Evans, Lamont Marshall and Trey Simons represented the island in the 4 x 800m race in a strong performance amid a top-class field. Kenya won in a time of  7min 8.40sec, with Bermuda crossing the line in 7:21.87.

“A job well done guys and you looked good,” said president of the Bermuda National Athletics Association Donna Watson.

Dill’s opening leg left Bermuda in third place, with Aaron Evans maintaining that pace. With other countries making strong moves, Marshall was dropped to seventh and Simons was unable to claw any more places back on the final leg.
