UPDATE, MONDAY 12:30PM: At last check the 20 year old male motorcyclist injured after apparently colliding with a roadside wooden railing around 1:40am Sunday, June 29th on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near the junction with Scaur Hill Drive remained in critical condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Around 1:40am on Sunday, June 29th first responders were dispatched to a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle collision on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near the junction with Scaur Hill Drive.

The injured motorcyclist, a 20 year old Smith’s parish man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check he was in critical condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Traffic was diverted away from the area while collision investigators examined the scene.
