WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 19: Mangrove Bay is in better shape thanks to a marine clean up that took place this weekend.

Divers from different clubs and organizations came together to clean up areas including Bermuda Sub Aqua Club, Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, Blue Water Divers, Fantasea and Bermuda Ocean Explorers, who coordinated the event in partnership with Keep Bermuda Beautiful.

Bermuda Ocean Explorers is a member organization of the Bermuda Marine Debris Task Force.

The KBB Annual Marine Clean-up coincides with Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Clean-up.

Among the items found by the divers were fishing line, half a boat engine cover, plastic boat paddles, a fishing rod tube/holder, a car seat and numerous cans and beer bottles.
