FRIDAY, JAN. 6: With Man United and Chelsea losing at home and Man City losing on the road and most of the rest of league in drawing mode, I got just two predictions right last week.
This week should see several FA Cup mis-matches.

Friday

Liverpool v Oldham
4pm
Oldham are mid table in NPower League One with little promotion hopes this season. What little chance Liverpool had of winning the Premier League evaporated in a 3-0 thrashing by Man City.
They need to do something in the FA Cup to help salvage their season.
BDA Sun prediction: 4-0

Saturday

Birmingham v Wolves
8:30am
Birmingham’s record is, perhaps, a bit unflattering of how the club has truly played. With a home match, they will have a chance to upset Wolves.
BDA Sun prediction: 1-0

Newcastle v Blackburn
11am
Newcastle won’t go away. Just when you thought they might fall out of contention for a top four spot, they come along and handle United in spectacular fashion with a 3-0 victory.
What makes this match unique, is Blackburn also beat United  —  it’s the first time in a long while that the last two teams to have played United and beat them, then face off in a match.
The win should ease some of the savage cries for manager Steve Kean’s head, but it won’t be enough to salvage a victory in this contest.
BDA Sun prediction: 2-0

Norwich v Burnley
11am
Norwich should have the upper hand against Burnley, who still have Premier League promotion hopes.
The club is only three points off from being involved in the playoffs.
Burnley has played solidly down the back in only giving up four goals in its last four matches and if it has that kind of resolve here, it could spring a surprise here.
But the punters money should be on Norwich.
BDA Sun prediction: 2-1

Sunday

Man City v Man United
9am
No one is expecting City to hand United another 6-1 tailing, but many believe they are the better team.
With the match against City looming and United having lost its last two games, it’s possible they could lose three on the trot.
The last time United lost three games in a row was in November/December 2001 when they fell to Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham.
BDA Sun prediction: 3-2

Chelsea v Portsmouth
9am
There’s a reason that Chelsea wants the Gary Cahill transfer to happen sooner, than later — they need both his defence and scoring touch.
Pompey should be out classed here.
BDA Sun prediction: 3-0
