WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 23: Deselected Hamilton West MP Darius Tucker is to fight the Paget West seat for the PLP at the next election.

Mr Tucker — who was elected a UBP MP in 2007, but later crossed the floor to the PLP, will take on Patricia Gordon-Pamplin of the OBA in what was a UBP safe seat.

Mr Tucker said: “My political path to this point may not have taken the typical route, but I am confident that it has brought me to the right place.

“My time as a PLP MP may have been relatively brief, but since joining the party earlier this year, I have indeed found a political home.”

Mr Tucker was replaced by Diallo Rabain in Hamilton South after a primary contest.
