WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2: Pacers Track Club has awarded Allison Outerbridge its first ever scholarship.

Spokesman Wayne Raynor said: “For many years the club has been attempting to create a scholarship award to assist athletes with tertiary schooling.

“This year that dream was made possible with the help of our sponsors and supporters of the club.”

Outerbridge will receve $3,000  to help with her education at the University of Tennessee.

Raynor said Outerbridge is “academically outstanding “and has achieved great success in the classroom. 

“She has been a member of Pacers since the tender age of eight and has participated in all club activities.  She has shown dedication to the sport of track and field and has graced the higher stage of junior athletics being ranked as one of the world’s youth triple jumpers.

Females: Outstanding Athlete - Fahemmah Kyrah Scraders, Most Improved - Zakiyyah Showers, Most Consistent - Fahemmah Kyrah Scraders, Most Determined - Syriah Lottimore / Jordan Bascome, Improvement awards - Zahra Wilson, Quaashie Douglas, Demiqua Daniels, Azaire Smith, Mikaela Outerbridge, Anasia Barclay, Rachael Fox, Best New Comer  - Zekiah Lewis.

Males: Outstanding Athlete -– Justin Donawa, Most Improved – Kyle Webb, Most Consistent – Juma Mouchette, Most Determined – Karim Creary/Sean Tucker, Best New Comer – Diarra-James Powell- Burgess, Improvement awards - Justin Donawa, Elisha Darrell, Sajan Harvey, Aaron Jacobs.
