The Fishbowl League has one more bowling night remaining — with the battle for the championship going down to tonight’s final fixtures.

Four teams are still in the running. Marlins and Rockfish are battling for first, while Porgies and Goldfish are close on their heels.

Only two points separate  the four teams.

The latest action saw the Rockfish defeat first place Marlins three to one to leave Marlins in first place by just half a point ahead of the Rockfish. 

Marlins have 66.5 points while Rockfish have 66.

Porgies and Goldfish are tied for third both with 64 1/2  points each.

Marlins were led by Richard Zuill’s 537 to earn one point, while Rockfish ended the night with three tightly-contested games.

Patrice Tucker, for Marlins, had the highest series of 545 and second high-game 200.

Botelho blast

Goldfish won out over  Wahoo by 3-1  — led by Albert Botelho’s 584 and 211 — while Cathee Tumbridge answered for the Wahoo with a 516.

Porgies and Mackerel split the points, each ending the night with two points each.

Hog Fish whitewashed the Dolphins taking home all four points led by Hanny Consolacion, 597 and 212, while for the Dolphins Corrine Durrant was the top bowler.

Porgies and Mackerel’s match ended in another draw, with each taking two points.  Leading the Porgies’ efforts was Emerson Carrington, the top bowler with 505, while for Mackerel, William Steede blew out the pins bowling the night’s  top game of 254 and second high series 623.

Swordfish were led in their four-point win over Flounders by Jamel Bean, bowling a 238 and 607.

Barracuda pulled off a 3-1 victory over the Cow Pollies as Joshua Bento pulled out the stops with a 236, 252 and 148 for a 636 series to lead Barracuda to the win. A.J. Mello answered with a 199 game and 513 series for Cow Pollies. 

Snappers and Tuna battled it out with the former winning 3-1.

The top bowler for Snappers was Peter Winsby with a 537.
