The first round of snooker’s Island Construction Knock Out took place last week,

In the preliminary round, Warwick Workman’s Club 2 defeated Royal Artillery Association 3-1. However, they would be up against Watford Sports Club 1 next and Watford advanced to round one by defeating Warwick 2  in three straight games.

Zane DeSilva and Nadanja Bailey took to the table first. 

DeSilva defeated Bailey 57-23 and next up was Steven Bremar, who had a convincing win over Keith Smith 81-22 to put WSC ahead 2-0. 

Maurice Hawkins sealed the victory for WSC by defeating Daniel Caines 52-15.

Spanish Point Boat Club defeated Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club 3–0.

Stephen Roberts came out of retirement and won his game against Bart Lewis 54-13. Next up for SPBC was Stewart Greenslade who defeated Andrew Hanwell 55-37, while Chris Dakin gave SPBC their final win by defeating Tom Cunningham 47-10. Warwick Workman’s Club team 1 advanced to the next round by defeating Sandy’s Boat Club 3-0. Courtland Furbert won his game against Martin Siese 47-7 before Andre Burgess gave WWC a two-point lead by defeating Stuart Matthews 52-23.

Gary Bascombe made his first appearance of the season by winning his game against Richard Beale 54-26.
