The Aviva Premiership club squad will also include fellow England player Mouritz Botha as well as South Africa’s Schalk Brits and Alistair Hargreaves.

Saracens arrive on May 27 and play a Bermuda Select XV, managed by England’s World Cup winner Lewis Moody, on May 31 as part of a week-long tour to raise money for Beyond Rugby and Family Centre charities.

Ashton missed out on the Lions squad and has been  rested from England’s tour of Argentina. Former England international Charlie Hodgson is also part of the club's touring squad, while the Select XV will be captained by Ireland's Geordan Murphy.

Organiser Gareth Nokes said: “I’m still pinching myself a little bit to be honest that we’ve been able to pull this off and attract players this good to the island.”
