FRIDAY, OCT. 12: The long-anticipated Bermuda Corporate Games is due to begin at the end of the month and organizers have announced a number of social events.

The games are a mass participation, multi-sport event that opens on October 25 to 28.

They have been staged in numerous countries around the globe for the past 25 years with over 160 staged games on five continents.

Organizations can enter as many teams as they wish in any number of sports. 

Participants can choose to compete in one of the following 18 sports:  Badminton, beach volleyball 4’s,  golf,  field hockey,  net ball, rugby 7’s, running, sailing 420’s, soccer, softball, squash, swimming, long distance running, tennis, ten pin bowling, touch rugby and triathlon.

Here are the social events announced so far.

• Mickey’s Beach BBQ Night — Friday, October 26: Registrants receive complimentary food and beverage tickets to an American style Beach BBQ buffet, drinks, bonfire, dancing under the stars to Prestige and access to an after-party at The Deep night club. General admission tickets for the event are $40 and are available to the public at the venue, online at www.ptix.bm, by calling 278-1500 or at the following locations: Games Village on Front Street or at 75 Front Street.

• Parade of Athletes — Saturday, October 27 at 7pm: Admission is free to the general public to cheer on your favorite athlete or teams, as over 100 companies of all sizes and their athletes march down Front Street to kick off our fantastic Street Fest!

There’ll be live bands, international food and drink stalls. It’s a Party for the Community and you’re invited.
