FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 23: Anyone wishing to run in next Friday’s KPMG Invitational Mile Trial must register by 4:30pm today.

All applicants can register online at www.bermudatiming.bm or collect their entry form from Sportseller in the Washington Mall.  

Entry forms are also available at local schools across the island. Entries must be received no later than 4:30pm on Friday. Late entries will not be accepted. Registration fee is $8 for students and $15 for adults.

The Mile Trials will take place Friday, November 30 at 6pm at the National Sports Centre.

Bowling

Pembroke Juniors lead the Barritt’s League by 19 games after they beat Haascobe 21 to 9. Kevin Swan rolled a 266 game while Delmont Tucker bowled a 697 series.

In the Mixed Majors League, Activators have a 32.5 game lead in spite of losing this week 15 to 5 to Gang in Blue. David Maycock missed out on a perfect game but rolled a 289 and had a 692 series.

Choctaw and Mohawk are the co-leaders in the Warriors League. Mohawk beat Cherokee 4-0 to forge the tie at the top of the standings. Mark Gibbons rolled a 258 game while Tiffany Caisey was the high woman with a 201.

Bacardi 8k

The Bacardi 8k Road Race & Walk is scheduled for November 25 at 8:30am

The course is the same as last year and there will be a complimentary breakfast after the race

The race is limited to 500 competitors. 

Equestrian

Harness Pony racing is scheduled for Friday, November 23 starting at 7pm at the National Equestrian Centre on Vesey Street.
