Live updates from the match between Bermuda and USA at the National Sports Centre.
5:36pm: Well, it was too much of a mountain to overcome. Nepal finishes second with a net run rate of 0.715; USA second with a net RR of 0.456; and Bermuda -0.683. Those early matches of just barely scoring 100 doomed Bermuda to stay in Division 3 for the next World Cup cycle. Nepal and Uganda advance to Division 2 while Italy and Oman drop to Division 4. The US and Bermuda will play again tomorrow in the third/fourth playoff. Thanks for following today.
5:32pm: Batting stats while we wait: Gibbons 4, Douglas 89, Manders 13, Outerbridge 37, Hemp 11, Tucker 37*, Cann 6*, 24 extras
5:27pm
BERMUDA WINS!
B
An anticlimatic wide ball to Tucker settles it. Now it's up to the mathematicians to figure out the net run rate. My basic maths indicates that Nepal finished second and will advance, but hold on.
5:24pm: Bermuda 209/5 - correction Cann is in.
5:23pm:
OUT!
Outerbridge is bowled 208/5. Jones in.
5:18pm: Bermuda 206/4 (43.0) Outerbridge 36, Tucker 32 - Looks like Bermuda will win... it's all going to come down to net run rate.... might as well pound the ball now.
5:13pm: Bermuda 192/4 (42.0) Outerbridge 29, Tucker 25.
5:08pm: Bermuda 183/4 (41.0) Oman have beaten Uganda and are now 2-3 in the group.
5:05pm: Bermuda 179/4 (40.0)
5:02pm: Bermuda 176/4 (39.0) Outerbridge 25, Tucker 14
4:59pm: Bermuda 170/4 (38.0)
4:56pm: Bermuda 168/4 (37.0) Outerbridge 22, Tucker 9.
4:52pm: Bermuda 160/4 Outerbridge 22, Tucker 1
4:45pm:
OUT!
Hemp is run out on 11. Jones is in. 156/4. Oman is closing in on victory against Uganda. Chasing 40 runs now.
4:42pm: Bermuda 153/3 (34.0) Hemp with a big six.
4:38pm: Bermuda 146/3 (33.0) Outerbridge 17, Hemp 4.
4:35pm: Bermuda 141/3 (32.0)
4:30pm:
OUT!
A great innings by Douglas (89). Hemp in with Outerbridge 139/3
4:27pm: Bermuda 138/2 (30.0) Douglas (89) and Outerbridge (13) just ticking along.
4:25pm: Bermuda 133/2 (29.0)
4:22pm: Bermuda 131/2 (28.0) Douglas 84, Outerbridge 11
4:19pm: Bermuda 130/2 (27.0)
4:16pm: Bermuda 125/2 (26.0) Douglas 79, Outerbridge 10
4:11pm: Bermuda 122/2 (25.0) More than halfway there... The run rate looks like it will be the deciding factor now whether Bermuda stays in Division 3 or advances to Division 2.
4:08pm: Bermuda 114/2 (24.0)
4:06pm: Bermuda 113/2 (23.0) Douglas 77, Outerbridge 3
4:03pm: Bermuda 105/2 (22.0)
3:59pm: Bermuda 103/2 (21.0) that was a quick over.
3:57pm: Bermuda 101/2 (20.0) Douglas on 75
3:54pm: Bermuda 98/2 (19.0).
3:51pm: Bermuda 97/2 (18.0) Outerbridge in with Douglas.
3:46pm: Bermuda 95/2 Manders is caught and bowled on 13.
3:42pm: Bermuda 93/1 (17.0) Douglas 70, Manders 12.
3:40pm: Bermuda 90/1 (16.0) Douglas 69 and Manders 10.

3:34pm: Bermuda 81/1 (14.0) Douglas on 64

3:26pm: Bermuda 75/1 (11.0)
3:24pm: Nepal has won - Soon as I get their run rate, I'll post it. Nepal is now 3-2 - If Bermuda wins, it will be a three-way tie for second.
3:22pm: Bermuda 74/1 (10.0)
3:20pm Nepal on the verge of victory against Italy. They need nine runs.
3:18pm: Bermuda 72/1 (9.0) Douglas gets his 50 in 25 balls. He's now on 58
3:14pm: Bermuda 62/1 (8.0) Douglas on 45.
3:11pm: Nepal now at 87/1 (12.0) against Italy. They need just 41 more runs to have a 3-2 record.
3:06pm:
OUT!
Gibbons is gone. Douglas on 32. (43/1 (6.0)
3:03pm: Bermuda 37/0 (5.0) Bermuda are going to need a lot of runs quickly if they are to advance in a three-way tie with Nepal and USA.
2:59pm: Bermuda 32/0 (4.0) Douglas 26, Gibbons 1.
2:56pm: Bermuda 29/0 (3.0)
2:55pm: Nepal at 75/0 (9.0) chasing 127
2:49pm: 25/0 (2.0) Douglas on 21 as Gibbons is letting his partner do the heavy lifting. Great start for Bermuda.
2:46pm: 9/0 (1.0) Seven for Douglas.
2:43pm: Gibbons and Douglas opening for Bermuda.
2:41pm: Nepal has already raced out to 55/0 after 6 overs. Even if Bermuda wins, it's likely that Nepal will have a better run rate and advance to Division 2.
