The Bermuda Pacers Track Club returned from an overseas track meet with 22 medals, seven of which were gold.

The team competed in 90-degree temperatures over a three-day period at the Russell E Blunt Coast Invitational Track Meet in the U.S.. They ended with a third place finish overall for the second year in a row, bringing home seven gold medals, 11 silver and four bronze.

Highlights of the meet included Brighton Swan winning the team's first gold medal in the 11-12 boys 3000 metres, followed by another gold medal performance by Matthew Spring in the 15-16 boys 3,000 metres. Latroya Darrell earned a gold for her 17-18 girls triple jump, and Aaron Evans collected gold medals for the 15-16 boys 1500 metres and 800 metres finals.

In winning the 1,500, Evans surged past Spring in one of the most exciting races of the day.

The club's relay teams finished with the following: second place in the 11-12 boys 4x100 metre finals, fourth place in the 13-14 girls 4x100metres, second place in the 9-10 girls 4x400 metres, third place in the 9-10 boys 4x400 metres and fifth place in the 13-14 boys 4x400 metres.
