Tyrone Smith long jumped 8.13 metres in Poland on Saturday.

The leap qualified Smith to compete at the World Championships in Moscow. 

Smith tweeted this afternoon: Just qualified for Moscow 2013 with a new season best 8.13m! Congrats to Luis rivera for his 8.30m - a new Mexican national record."

Smith has had a whirlwind week competing and winning in Paris with a leap of 8.09m before heading to Prague where he finished fourth in spite of fouling four times. 

Last summer Smith made it to the long jump finals in the London Olympics where he placed 12th.
