Nahki Wells ended a nine-game goaless streak against Blackburn Rovers but it was not enough to prevent Huddersfield Town from going down to defeat. 

Rovers' striker Jordan Rhodes had a hat-trick as he led his side to a 4-2 victory. 

Wells goal came in the 71st and helped narrow the gap to 3-2. Wells took a cross from James Vaughn, turned and fired a shot into the lower left-hand corner of the Blackburn goal.

He celebrated with his arms outstretched wide and a grin almost to as big to match it as he was mobbed by his teammates.

The team's next match is on Saturday, away to Blackpool.
