Goldfish came barrelling back with a 4-0 win over Milkfish to take over first place in the Fishbowl League bowling standings.
Led by Albert Botelho with a 576 and 234 game, Milkfish didn’t give away any points as Daniel Morales chipped in a 554 series and 202 in a losing battle for the Milkfish.
Marlins and Barracuda battled it out but it was Marlins who took all four points.
Richard Zuill topped the scoring list with a 629 and 235 game to lead Marlins home.
Barracuda didn’t give up, with Quinton Mallory adding a 568 and 211 game while Joshua Bento gave support with a 558 and a 203.
The win for Marlins puts them in second and drops Barracuda to fourth.
By splitting the points with Hog Fish, Wahoo dropped down the ladder from first to third.
Matthew Tumbridge led the Wahoo’s efforts with a 511 series and 209 game, with Tony Madeiros close on his heels with a 502 to win two of the four points.
Hog Fish had other ideas, with Tony Vibal’s 517
helping to win the two points.
Dolphins and Porgies could not be separated in a 2-2 draw as Corinne Durrant led her Dolphins team with a 522 series, while Porgies’ Lucky Pitcher added a 534 and Ted Swiss a 208 game in an effort to take a bigger share of the points.
Peter Winsby, though, bowling a 552 and 210, couldn’t muster enough pincount to offset the Swordfish.
Tuna were scheduled against Bye (Gone Fishin) and walked away with the points on the lead of Karen Landy.
She registered a 499 series and 191 game, while June Simons added a 183 game in a winning cause.
