Bermudian Chriss Addams, who lives in Western Australia, came across a four-foot goana (monitor lizard) in the desert. In his own words:
“It was eyeing up my Spam cooking on the outback fire. Then a rustle in the bushes nearby caught our attention. The goana thought it a competitor or an amorous female and rushed over to investigate. Too late — it was a great desert boa. Swallowed the Goana alive.”
Mr Addams, who took this photo, is a former General Superintendent at the Corporation of Hamilton, who also worked as Chief Engineer at the Mid Ocean Club and at Bermuda Mechanical.
