The BHS Angels are a group of students, from Years 7-IB, whose main objectives are to help sustain a positive school environment which has a zero tolerance towards bullying.
The leaders of this group are IB students Bryn Thomas, Charlotte Griffins and Reem Bushara; and the staff support are Head of School, Linda Parker; School Counsellor, Niamah Denbrook Cann and Academic Resource Teacher, Susie Hall.
The BHS Angels have participated in anti-bullying training which includes Dare to Care student groups, peer mediation training, and workshops on how to assist other students if they are being targeted.
During this academic year, they have helped to facilitate anti-bullying assemblies for the whole school and they have started leadership duties which include prefecting the Primary and Secondary school during the lunch hour to help support a safe school environment.
The BHS Angels are identified by purple wrist bands that state ‘Be the Change’ and gold angel wing pins. This inspirational group of student leaders look forward to continuing to organize school-wide events aimed at eliminating bullying and promoting a positive school environment.
