Man charged with attacking fellow inmate
A prisoner appeared in court today charged with attacking another inmate.
Ronniko Burchall, 24, is accused of wounding Tyun Smith-Ming with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on December 29 in Sandy’s.
The alleged attack happened inside the West Gate Correctional Facility.
Mr Burchall was not required to enter a plea as the matter is indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court.
No details of the case were given during the hearing and the matter was adjourned to February 28.
Mr Burchall was remanded into custody.
