Comet race scheduled for holiday

THURSDAY, JUNE 16: The West End Sailboat Club will host the annual long distance comet sailboat race from Somerset to St. Georges on Monday, June 20.

The race will start at 11:00am in the Great Sound near the West End Sailboat Club and will end approximately 3 hours later in St. George’s Harbour.

Mariners are advised by the Ministry of Transport to give adequate clearance and create minimal wake when in the vicinity of the racing comets.
