FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18: The Kathmandu Kids Club is hosting its annual evening of exotic and charitable festive cheer on December 2.

The annual Christmas market will again take place at Mount Saint Agnes School from 5:30pm to 11pm.

The Kathmandu Club is a community fundraising group of dedicated volunteers who raise funds for the ISIS Foundation which helps children in serious need in Nepal and Uganda. KatKids event manager, Nicola Jones, said: “The Christmas Market will have plenty of opportunities to find one of kind gifts while helping a very worthwhile cause.  Come and browse through our stands filled with beautiful beaded jewellery, hand crafted clothing and alluring art work all direct from Nepal and Uganda all while enjoying the festive and exotic atmosphere.”

Popular local comedian Bruce Barritt, formerly of Not The Um Um Players, will host the live and silent auction which will feature a number of unique items.

There will be upbeat, live music from the Crazy Wednesdays.

“The unique atmosphere of the KatKids Market and low $10 cover charge, make this night one you absolutely should not miss” explained Nicola Jones, “Come enjoy traditional Nepalese food and enjoy happy hour drinks all night.” Sharon Beesley, co-founder of The ISIS Foundation and President of the Kathmandu Kids Club, said: “We hope that people can come, not only to support the market financially but also to gain understanding of the work that a Bermuda charity is involved in Nepal and Uganda.

“Due to the kindness and generosity of Bermudians, ISIS has been able to make a huge difference to the lives of thousands of people in Nepal and Uganda.  The Kathmandu Kids Club has been fundraising for The ISIS Foundation for over five years now and we are very grateful for the support.”

Tickets are available online in advance at www.premiertickets.bm, and there will be tickets on the door from 5.30pm on the night for cash only. However, the organizers strongly recommend buying tickets in advance to avoid disappointment, as tickets are limited this year and KatKids events have sold out in the past.
