SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20: What is unreasonable hardship?

The Human Rights Commission has organized a forum to discuss what the 2011 Unreasonable Hardship legislation means for employers and employees in Bermuda.

The forum will be held on Wednesday, 23 November from 12.30-1.30pm at the Cathedral Hall.

The Human Rights (Unreasonable Hardship) Amendment Act 2011 seeks to provide protection to persons with disabilities against discrimination when applying for employment or once employed.

Representatives from the HRC and the National Office for Seniors and the Physically Challenged will be in attendance along with guest speaker Rick Williams, a leading UK disability rights advocate, to discuss the responsibilities and opportunities employers and employees have in creating a more inclusive workplace.

For more information on this event, free to the public, please contact the Human Rights Commission at 295-5859.
