WEDNESDAY, NOV. 21: Some 500 people turned out to the Garden Club of Bermuda’s annual open house which was this year held at John Cox’s home — Orange Valley in Devonshire.
The grand, 200-year-old Georgian property and grounds, said to be haunted by three ghosts, were decorated by the members of the Garden Club. Plants, baked goods and and Christmas decorations were on sale and were all sold out on the day. John Cox was present and signing copies of his book Ghostly Tales and AW Llewellyn Harvey was there giving book readings.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the club’s scholarship programme for aspiring horticulturalists.
