Not following Jesus is contributing to island's woes

In a time when the earth is so ungodly and so unkind, there is rest in knowing that there are still those who desire to stand in the gap.

Acts 10:38: How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

When Jesus walked the face of the earth, He was the face of the Kingdom. Jesus went about healing all manner of sickness and disease. In other words, the Kingdom of Heaven was demonstrated through the saving acts of Jesus.

The establishment hated Jesus. Why? Because Jesus broke through the acceptable order of the day and Jesus, by His word and actions, spoke and showed that He had come to do away with what was and establish what must be. Jesus was not going to settle for what ‘they say’.

No, Jesus had a better way and He was going to teach that way to all.

Think about it. Even before Jesus was born, there was a plan to kill the sons, because there was information that a king was to be born.

Think about it. When Jesus was a baby, His parents had to escape home and run into a foreign land because they were out to kill the baby boys. Someone had heard that the new king was actually born. 

Jesus’ young years were very silent. However, as Jesus burst on the scene of ministry one more time, they were out to kill Him. Wow! The Saviour of the world and yet there were segments of the community who were out to murder Him.

Bermuda, you must be mindful that the enemy of your soul is always after kingship. The devil will plot and plan in order that the babies, the boys, and the young men are killed.

Why? There is kingship in them! There is leadership in them! There is a future in them!

Today in the island of Bermuda, the males have all but set themselves on a mission of suicidal annihilation.

How sad that is. How sad it is when the males unknowingly help in the plan to kill themselves. They have placed their hands to the ghastly plot of ‘taking out’ their very brothers.

There are those males who have sent other males running, where they cannot go back to another parish.

Those males have volunteered their services to the annihilation of their own race. Jesus was targeted because He had potential to change the world system for the good of the people.

Jesus was tired of the status quo and desired that all people have the opportunity to experience being valued and being loved. Jesus went about doing good. That’s the bottom line to this picture. Jesus established good and the enemy seeks to establish evil. Likewise our males are targets!

The minds of too many in this island are purely evil, not considering others but revelling in the downfall of this generation.

Far too many are benefitting from the death of this generation through drugs, mis-education, immorality, and most of all no desire to follow the One who is good, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Unfortunately, there is someone who is very happy and evilly pleased with the downfall of so many young males. That is sad.

Jesus began His earthly ministry by calling on fishermen to follow Him, and make others to become as He is.

Today, Christians stand on the shoulders of the example of Jesus asking you to “Follow me as I follow Christ”. 

One more time, the power of choice is in the hands of each of you. You choose whom you serve. Is it evil or is it good? Will it bring forth good fruit or evil fruit? Will the fruit grow right in your homes or will you refuse and allow evil to be safely tucked away in your home?

You choose each and every day whether to make Bermuda a safer place or a more evil place.

There is hope. And you must choose hope. There is rest from the evil of the day and you must choose the rest.

There is peace and you must choose peace. If you are weary and heavy laden, I invite you to meet Jesus.  He is the Prince of Peace and He is a heavy-load bearer. Respice finem.
