Parks Department to host weekly Christmas Craft Market
THURSDAY, NOV. 15: This evening, the Department of Parks will be holding its first Christmas Craft Market of the season from 6pm to 9pm at the Bermuda Botanical Gardens in the Visitors Centre building. The event will be opened by the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. Michael A. Weeks JP, MP.
The public is encouraged to attend this event which will include local live entertainment, music, and food provided by vendors.
The Department of Parks will be holding its Christmas Craft Market every Thursday, beginning tomorrow night until December 13.
The public is also invited to visit the Botanical Gardens to experience the Department of Parks Christmas In The Park display, a spectacular array of lights, decorations, and music which will be open Monday through Sunday. Thursday’s walk through will be from 6m to 9pm.
The public are also invited to assist the Salvation Army and other organizations whose mission is to feed and support those who are less fortunate during the season of giving by donating non perishable goods or gift cards.
Boxes will be provided for goods to be placed starting on Thursday November 15th and the deadline for collection is December 13th, 2012. All items collected will be distributed to the Salvation Army, Eliz Doolittle and other charities.
The Department encourages the public to come out and experience Christmas “In The Park” which will continue from November 15 through to January 6, 2013.
