Somerset Bridge Park transformed into 'Christmas Wonderland'
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20: The Somerset Parish Council will hold its Christmas Wonderland tonight at the Somerset Bridge Park.
The event was due to take place on Sunday night but was rescheduled because of the weather.
Chairman Dawn Simmons said: “The aim is to create an atmosphere where families can walk around, sit and enjoy the beauty of the display and the serenity of the sea.
“This a family friendly walk through display, please feel free to bring your lawn chair or blanket should you wish to sit and enjoy the display.”
Festivities will begin at 6pm and the holiday lights will be switched on.
Students from Lagoon Park Preschool, West End Primary, Somerset Primary, Dalton E. Tucker and Sandys Secondary Middle School were able to decorate a tree to enhance the beauty of the area.
Ms Simmons said there will be a few vendors, the ice cream truck and a short program.
There will be no stopping on the bridge and parking will be on the rectory lawn behind St Michael’s entrance.
