Smith gracious after quarter-final defeat

Tyler Smith was knocked out of the Bank of Bermuda International Tennis Federation Junior Circuit Tournament quarter-finals today by seventh seed Madison Harrison.

Smith fought hard but lost the first set 7-5 and the second set 6-1.

She told the Bermuda Sun after the game: “I don’t think I played terrible, but [Harrison] played better than me and she dominated most of the points.”

Smith at least still has the Island Games to look forward to. She added:  “I’m excited to be playing home again after [this tournament].”
