Man accused of sex with minor

A Pembroke man was today charged with having sex with a minor.

The 27-year-old man is accused of having unlawful carnal knowledge with a girl under the age of 16 but over the age of 14.

The alleged incidents happened three times between July 1, 2012 and October 31, 2012.

The defendant was not required to enter pleas because the matters are indictable and must be heard in the supreme court.

He was given $10,000 bail and must not interfere with the victim.

The defendant will reappear later this month.
