Local Search wins App of the Month award

Bermuda.com Local Search has been chosen as the “App of the Month” by Digicel for March.

Since November, Digicel picks an App it feels users will find very useful. The Bermuda.com Local Search is the first Bermuda app to be highlighted.

Bermuda.com is a sister company to the Bermuda Sun in the MediaHouse Group of companies.

Glenn Jones, acting general manager of MediaHouse, said: “We’re thrilled to get this acknowledgement from Digicel because those guys know their stuff; they’re not easily impressed.

“Overall the feedback has been great. For example, the user reviews at the App Store are outstanding.  We already have thousands of users, we just hope the good buzz leads to thousands more downloading the app and discovering for themselves how practical and Bermuda customized it is.

“This is not like a printed directory, mistakes can be fixed in a matter of minutes and then pushed out electronically to everyone’s smartphone.  We’ve made local search simple, but also very powerful, very efficient.”
