Second man charged in smuggling plot

A second man was today charged with trying to smuggle 500 grams of cocaine into Bermuda.

Dennis Thomas, 38, is accused of conspiring with Dennis Zuill and others not before the court to import the controlled drug cocaine onto the island between a date unknown and July 26, 2012.

Mr Thomas was not required to plea as the matter must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Mr Zuill was charged with the same offence last week and was remanded into custody.

Mr Thomas was released on bail but must surrender his travel documents and report to the Hamilton Police Station Mondays and Thursdays.
