Around 10pm on Saturday, police officers attended a reported assault in the Ducks Puddle Drive, Hamilton parish area.
It appears that a dispute occurred between persons at that location. During the incident one of the women involved apparently brandished a bladed article. As a result one of the other women involved sustained a hand injury.
A 26-year-old Warwick woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle for treatment. At last check she was in stable condition on a general ward.
Two St. George’s women, aged 22 and 25-years-old respectively, were subsequently arrested in connection with this mater.
Inquiries are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with any information regarding this reported assault is encouraged to contact the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.
