The Parliamentary Election Committee will commence public hearings next Monday 23 September at 12 noon. 

Issues to be examined include; -- whether or not candidates are required to disclose interests in government contracts, voter intimidation and absentee ballots. 

Members of the community with expertise in the above topics will be invited to appear before the committee or make written submissions.  

Community leaders invited to share their knowledge of the topics and answer Election Committee questions on the topics include; 

Ministers, former leaders, back-benchers, party candidates and members of the community. 

The sessions will take place in The Library at the House of Assembly. 

This schedule of hearings will conclude 26 September.
