Bermuda earn NACRA comeback win
Bermuda staged a second-half comeback to beat a Trinidad & Tobago Club Select rugby side 14-7 in the NACRA Under-19 Championships at Fatima College Ground in Port of Spain.
Xavier John got the home side on the board with a good try, converted by captain Johnason Alleyen.
But Bermuda came on strong in the second period, with Rory Dublin and Kamel Easton helping the visitors draw level at 7-7.
Then, with eight minutes to go, it was Dublin who stole the show with another barging effort for a 12-7 lead.
Easton converted and Bermuda held on for the opening win.
Bermuda take on British Virgin Islands on Wednesday and Turks & Caicos on Friday. In the group’s other opening match, Turks & Caicos defeated British Virgin Islands 34-14.
