Bermuda born, Dr. Duane Pitt, President of both the Desert Institute for Spine Disorder, PC, and of the International Surgical Foundation in Arizona and from Lahey Hospital & Medical Center Massachusetts, Dr. Robert Dolan, Department of Otolaryngology, will be the speakers this Thursday evening for "Docs for Dinner," at Cafe Lido.
Sponsored by Bermuda HealthCare Services and Brown-Darrell Clinic, "Docs for Dinner," is a quarterly event. Thirty or more doctors are expected to attend the presentation and receive Continuing Medical Education credits.
Dr. Pitt - A fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon, Dr. Pitt specializes in disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine in ado¬lescents and adults. His focus is on both non-operative and operative treatments of spinal disorders, including degenerative, scoliosis, infections, stenosis and tumor. Trained in Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery for all types of spine disorders and utilizes traditional and state of the art surgical techniques such as artificial disc replacement, microdiscectomy, minimally invasive spinal fusions, thoroscopic scoliosis fusions, as well as many others.
Dr. Dolan - is the Vice Chairman, Division of Surgery, Chairman, Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, Director, Disease Oriented Work Group for Head and Neck Cancer Sophia Gordon Cancer Center - Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. An Associate Professor and Site Residency Director – Department of Otolaryngology Boston University School of Medicine. Certified Physician Executive (CPE) with leadership and management experience and formal executive training including a Master’s degree in Medical Management and American Society of Quality Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
