Triathlete Flora Duffy continued to dominate her field as she claimed victory in the Xterra American Tour Series East Coast Championships, held in Richmond, Virginia.
Duffy trounced her competitors by almost 10 minutes as she finished her race in a time of 2 hours, 35 minutes and 36 seconds. Duffy is unbeaten in the Xterra Off Road Triathlon Series, having won the West and SouthEast Series races and the Xterra World Tour Asia Pacific Championships.
Meanwhile current Bermuda Half Marathon Derby winner Tyler Butterfield placed eighth at the ITU World Cup Triathlon in Mexico. Despite his swim time improving over last year' race, when he placed fourth, Butterfield exited the water almost a minute after lead swimmers.
Despite jockeying with his competitors, Butterfield held on for 8th, finishing just under a minute and a half behind the winner in 2 hrs 3 mins 26 secs.
