Lunch with Uncle: The Spot is a happy place to be, with affordable food
Looking for somewhere to take the kids for a bite? Who’s going to give you a more honest, bite-sized review than a 10-year-old? Eliza Olander, from St David’s, is a student at St George’s Prep.
Location: The Spot, Burnaby Street, Hamilton.
First impressions: It’s a happy place to be; it’s not fancy but it’s very welcoming.
Drink: Coke [$2.40]
Main course: Macaroni & cheese [$5.75].
Very creamy and delicious.
Portion size: A perfect amount of mac and cheese.
Service: The waitress [Lisa Butterfield] is very nice and kind. She always has a smile on her face when she comes to serve you.
Dessert: [Chocolate milk shake $6.50].
Just perfect. Not sure if it’s better than the milk shake at Specialty Inn or The Paraquet, but it’s delicious.
Overall impressions: A very cosy place to come to, not too fancy. I would recommend it to parents to bring their kids.
They have affordable food here.
