Boston Marathon victims to be remembered by US
Team USA will begin its quest for qualifying for the World Cup with a moment of silence.
The team, is in Bermuda for the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League (WCL) Tournament in Bermuda.
Prior to its first game, against Nepal on Sunday, Team USA will observe a moment of silence for the victims and families of the Boston Marathon bombing and will also wear black armbands.
US Consul General Robert Settje will be there to cheer the team on.
Expectation
Team USA is coached by Kumaran Thirunavukkarasu. Team Manager Shoaib Ahmed said: “After tremendous success in the ICC Div-1 Americas Cup held in Florida, Team USA is coming to Bermuda with the expectation of winning the tournament and qualifying for the next big event, which is the World Cup qualifier to be held in New Zealand in 2014.”
