Flagpole to be replaced

The City of Hamilton announced that the flagpole at the junction of Front Street and Burnaby Hill will be removed on Sunday, April 28.

Edward Benevides, COO and Corporation secretary, said in a press release:

“The current flagpole has been in place since 1973. Over the years it has sustained damage and must be replaced. The City will be without a flagpole until the new one arrives and is installed. The new flagpole will be identical to the one it replaces. It will be an 80 foot aluminum, nautical flagpole.”
