Watford Sports Club (A) moved into first place in the standings when they defeated Spanish Point Boat Club (A) 4-2 in the Bermuda Snooker League.
Steven Bremar got the team off to a flying start when he won his game against Chris Dakin 60-11 with a break of 19 along the way.
Ed Gumbs showed no mercy on Ray DeSilva, winning the frames 45-31 and 53-16 to tie the points up.
However, Zane De Silva defeated Stewart Greenslade 53-33 to reclaim the points lead.
Doubles partners Z. De Silva/Bremar won their game against Greenslade/Dakin 57-18.
Sandys Boat Club(A) sailed past Royal Artillery Association with ease 5 -1.
Peter Bromby took two games from Joseph Hayward in the double game frames — 69-27 and 57-46. Honky Burrows won the only point for RAA by defeating Stuart Matthews 54-20, while Martin Siese won his game against Mike McGowan 51-22.
In a close doubles game Siese/Matthews defeated Burrows/McGowan 45-37.
Spanish Point Boat Club(B) shut out Watford Sports Club(B) in a convincing 5-1 victory.
Chance McLean narrowly defeated Aaron Bean 51-52, while Scott Barnes and Keino Zuill would share a point each in the double frame games.
Zuill won the first game 66-15 and Barnes won the second 72-25.
Stephen Holloway clinched his game against Tony Dawson 47-27.
Holloway would also have the high break of 22.
McLean and Holloway defeated Bean and Dawson in the doubles game 63-24.
Queen’s Club (B) took all six points from Sandys Boat Club (B).
Johns Burns won his game against Aaron Carvelho 59-41, while Jimmy McGill beat Chris Bromby 51-31. John Nicol won both games against Richie Beale 55-31 and 63-51.
Rick Dorush/Greg Swinbourne defeated Carvelho/Bromby in the doubles game 60-45.
Warwick Workman’s Club(B) defeated Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club(B) 4-2. Reuben Burchall proved he still has what it takes and defeated John Pedro 50-19 and 50-25 in the double frame games.
Daniel Caines won his game against Bart Lewis 69-42, Andrew Hanwell defeated Nadanja Bailey 61-39 and Caines/J. Peniston defeated Lewis/Hanwell 42-32 in the doubles game.
Caines pooled the black ball to win the game.
Reminder there is a Miller Tournament this Saturday, February 16.
