FRIDAY, AUGUST 31: Bermuda’s artists will be out in force exhibiting their creative talents at the Art In The Town market.
The market takes place from 11am to 3pm in St George’s outside CV Café off Water Street.
Everything on sale is handmade and, or designed in Bermuda by the artists and crafters. Work on sale includes mosaics, handmade cards, toys, bath products, crochet items for babies and adults, pottery, jewellery, watercolour, oil and acrylic paintings, photographs and books as well as bottled preserves and cooking oils.
The group, which started exhibiting in local arts and crafts fairs in the East End last year, has grown in size and includes numerous local artists.
Organizer Tricia Waters, an artist herself, said: “We would love to increase our numbers and invite anyone who has a craft, or art to join in the fun,” she says. “The only rule is that everything must be made in Bermuda.”
The group hopes to help solidify the East End as the art capital of Bermuda by holding the once monthly arts and crafts fair.
They invite the public to drop by and enjoy a coffee while browsing the handmade goodies.
The Art in the Town takes place the first Sunday of every month, or following Sunday if it rains.
