Bermuda Film Festival events kick off today

There will be a number of BIFF Late Night events taking place throughout the week.

The BIFF Wrap Party will be held at Masterworks, the Botanical Gardens, on Thursday, March 24 from 9pm to 1am.

The BIFF Late Night events provide filmmakers and filmgoers with the opportunity to gather, relax, chat and discuss the films.

There will be happy hour drink prices and free appetizers at the following bars, 9pm until closing, on the assigned nights:

Saturday, March 19: The Hog Penny Restaurant & Pub.

Monday, March 21: The Pickled Onion (with live music from Tony Brannon and Janita).

Tuesday, March 22: Heritage Court, The Fairmont Hamilton Princess.

Wednesday, March 23: Fresco’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar.
There will also be a series of free ‘Chats With...’ lunchtime panel discussions.

Monday, March 21: From Script to Screen.
Hollywood scriptwriter and BIFF Juror Larry Gross (48Hrs., Another 48Hrs., Prozac Nation) chats with Peter Rainer on the craft and business of screenwriting.

Tuesday, March 22: Oscar Secrets Revealed.
A Chat With veteran David Poland and guests. PR is important — use these tips to promote your project — film or other-wise.

Wednesday, March 23: Short Cuts.
Filmmakers Daniel D’Alimonte The Haymaker, Matt Morris Mr. Happy Man, and Andrew Stoneham Coffee & Pie discuss the trials and tribulations of the short filmmaking process.
