Boat Parade will sail again in 2013

MONDAY, JAN 28: One of the most spectacular events of the Christmas holiday season will be making a welcome return this year. The Bermuda Christmas Boat Parade is set to take place on Saturday, December 7th 2013. As in previous years the boats will circumnavigate Hamilton Harbour.

Now running as a biennial event, organiser Norma Thomson says the Boat Parade will be back “bigger and better than ever.”

“This is the biggest spectator event of the year” continued Ms Thomson “and we hope to make it the biggest parade fleet ever. Private boat owners, companies, charities and community groups are all being encouraged to enter boats in the parade. We want to make sure as many people as possible are aware of the date of the parade as early as possible. Getting boats to participate is always our most challenging task, but we hope that boat owners will make a special effort and come out and support the event by signing up through our website www.bermudaboatparade.bm.
