The first happy householders have moved into the Perimeter Lane housing units in Pembroke.

The Perimeter Lane development consists of 38 one, two and three-bedroom budget homes.

The development is made up of three buildings — two three storey ones and a central five storey structure.

They are the first units in Bermuda built specifically for the Rent Geared to Income initiative.

The Minister for Home Affairs, Colonel David Burch, was on hand yesterday to cut the ribbon to mark the official opening and welcome new occupants to their homes.M

Perimeter Lane is the one of a several new Government affordable housing projects, which include the Loughlands development in Paget and the Harbour View Village at Southside.
